X-Member to Chassis Bolts

hey guys,

need to do a zetec engine test fit into my mk2 escort. This means firstly bolting the standard x-member back to the chassis. Anyone have any details on what bolts are used to do this? Any input appreciated...

Use the orig bolts that came from there..mk2 bolts are 30mm long as to mk1 bolts being about 20mm . Both are a unf fine thread similar to pinion flange bolts . If ur real keen drill right thru the nutsert and thru the top of the chassis , fit crush tubes and high tensile bolts. ..Much stronger.

thanks for the reply marty... I should have clarified in my first post (as there will probably be a few of these questions) i bought my escort fully stripped. this of course means i have a pile of bolts and no way of knowing which is for what. even more challenging at the moment is the shell is at the body shop so trying to avoid a lot of backward/forward trips working out whats what...

so for the xmember they are 30mm long UNF fine thread bolts. that is a good start...
