mk1 mk2 van

Hi all,

Recently got myself a PV, a lot of rust but will be a long term project, Im hoping someone can answer a few question I have, thanks in advance!

1. are the doors the same mk1 - mk2, also will the doors fit a mk1 coupe?
2. the more I look at it the chassis the more it  looks identical to the early mk1 coupe? can anyone confirm?
3. replacement panels? floor / sills (inner & outer) would be the same as a mk1 coupe?

cheers

If or when ordering replacement panels is all mk1 escort van except the mk2 front panels (guards, apron & bonnet) .
When you come over i can show what's what. . But you are safe to buy for a mk1 coup as it all fits...
    Cheers

Front guards on Mk2 vans are not the same as Mk2 passenger cars.

WTB: Recaro seat - any condition considered

Doors are interchangeable but are not the same between Mk1 & Mk2 Escort Panel Vans.

    They're different on the inside.

mark 1 doors come off (from what i can remember) by pulling the hinge pin out the hinge to separate the hinge and MK 2 doors has bolt from inside the kick panel
