LHD Mk2 on ebay

Is this car not selling simply because it is left hand drive, or is there something I'm missing? Reading the description, it's apparently jumped through all the relevant RTA hoops to be registered.

    I dont think lhd would stop anyone keen, its all part of the excitement of driving a classic. I have found that a narrow car can be driven from the left side easily.
    The front of that car doesnt look too pretty, and because we never got that  model here then very few have any emotional connection with it.
    Usualy the first auction will bring the best price but if reserve is not reached then succeeding auctions just go down hill as buyers get frustrated and interest drops off. This seems to have happened here with many auctions already. I personaly think its ruined for ebay now maybe take it off the market for a while then sell it some other way.

    I own a LHD US Mercury Capri and once you get used to the idea, it's fine, though my wife doesn't like sitting on the right side with no controls!! This Mk2s chassis code GAECRS05365 says that its built in 1975 (R), July (S) yet the advert says it's a 2/1976 date of manufacture. Plus it's a Japanese import, which could mean a few different things as opposed to the European and US models. I've asked him to put up the Vehicle ID plate and the Australian Compliance Plate and from that we might get some more answers. Terry

    The front looks add as he has the wrong lights fitted, grab a pair from the UK or NZ and it will lift the front.  A mate of mine offered $4500 and got knocked back.  He then offered the guy all the parts to convert it to RHD but he wants to sell the car not keep it
