i like the 70's early 80's look plus i have 14'in four spokes dragways with 215 bf goodrich tyres and they scrub, but for now ive put 13'in dragways but are rusty and want to use my brand new 14's

Just role the guards a bit so it doesn't scrub?

If you can get reset springs that would be the go. Longer shackles are usually illegal, especially in QLD. I didn't want to make the effort/ pay the expense of getting my springs reset and asked the local spring maker to make me some shackles, absolutely no go. If they were straight you could make your own but they are offset. The only other option is to see if you can move your wheels on and get a set with different offset. Len

You say you love the 70`s and 80`s look, one thing that they uesd to do that is highly illegal and needs to be treated carefully when done as it really isnt the safest (but hey wheres the fun if everythings safe lol),
They  would take the diff out and mount it under the springs which immediately gives you about 4-5 inches of lift. Dont try burnouts of handbrakies like this as the diff isnt as secure as in its original position. Its a quick and easy lift solution and very period correct

If you really want the 70s and 80s experience, go for air shocks at the back and pump them up high.  A mate got himself at least one defect notice doing that, although he also managed to avoid a few by deflating them on the spot.

I forgot all about the air shocks, they were great
