Please help me find my first car !!!
Hi everyone ! My name is Josh and im currently looking around a few different avenues to see if anyone knows the where abouts of my first car or any info on it , It would be so greatly appreciated !! I originally bought and built the car in 2002-2003 when i was 17-18 , It was a 2-door mk2 ford escort with a Zac Speed Bodykit , Red in colour with gun metal grey bumpers and mini lite wheels (pics included ) I would love to speak or to find out who the current owner of the car is now , From the photos i have found and speaking to a previous owner that bought the car of me the car has been changed slightly (engine , wheels , headlights and grill) here are some pics of when i had the car : This is one of the most recent photos i have found of the car :

Sorry jet, no idea who the owner was. We were just down visiting from NSW for SFS. Someone from the RS Owner Club in Vic might be able to help you out there. Thought it was X-pack. Looking at a few google images they're very similar. x-pack zakspeed

You should be able to approach Vic Roads and request a search for the current owner under freedom of information legislation. You will need to supply documentation proving you were a previous owner and reason/s why you need to contact the owner. The department will contact the owner and ask for his permission to exchange details so you can contact each other. The fee should be minimal and usually the department is very helpful. I have done this in 2010 in NSW with the (then) RTA search for past owners on a car I was restoring. I put up a detailed guide how to do this on the previous incarnation of the Classic Ford Forum, however might be lost now.

Now you've done it !!! I've always liked the X Pack body kit and as my mk2 owned for 19yrs was getting Tarmac arches when i resto it , I'm swaying to the X Pack .. Even if slightly heavier , only require the front pieces as I've already got the rear moulds (not interested in the RS2000 X Pack front end. .. yuk !!) There's a flat front X Pack on the opening credits on the old 70s Minder tv show !

Such a beautiful MK2!!! Amazing job Josh. Well done. Hope you find it ASAP. Would hate to see something like this being bought by someone intending to ship it to the UK! And now we even have some 'punter' from SE Melbourne buying up cars to ship to the UK!?? So much for 'helping' the classic small Ford community! Joe Pistone anyone??

Great looking car, if I was to do another escort it would have an x pack kit for sure. I have both an rs kit and flat front kit stashed away. Getting hard to come by these days
mk2 2 door, cosworth still waiting to go in!

The RS owners club has a page on their website that talks you through tracking down previous owners/history of your car although I'm not sure it would be much help if you don't actually own the the car right now but my be worth a look
