Capri parts for reproduction
Hi all, Finally got around to having a look through boxes for parts that would be handy (or nice) to have when rebuilding/maintaining Capris. The first is the handbrake boot ( interior). Probably more a concourse part, but would also be potentially needed by some for roadworthy. (1)(1)(1).jpg) (1)(1)(1).jpg)

Next is a domed plastic cup/cover which is used on the rear face of each door (above and below locking mechanism). I would think this is mostly a concourse item (so you're not using old scratched items after the car has been nicely painted. .jpg) .jpg)

These are the original push in plastic grommets for the top of the doortrim where the plastic door lock thingy goes up and down.

The second handbrake cover is the same as escorts and the plastic surround for the door lock upper rod is used on Escorts as well, I have been trying to get some new ones for the door trims which I have just refurbished for my Escort. Cheers, Len

The end / corner caps for the parcel shelves would be good. Window winder knobs that can attach to the arms would be good also

All of these parts can be reproduced. I am currently asking around to see who would potentially be interested in purchasing the parts and then consider if tooling up is worth while.

Thanks Peter Anyone else who would like any of the parts mentioned/shown above (or something else) reproduced, please say so in this thread. That way Peter can get a better idea of the demand. Cheers Jamie

The clutch arm rubber boot for the v6 would be in demand, at the moment they are unobtanium. Also need gearstick rubber boot. Wants...The rubber infills that go at each end of the doors just where the window frames come up out of the door panels. These are probably to cut down on wind noise and also to cover some untidy looking joins. Also unobtanable. The slotted rubber blocks that go on the ends of the grille slats. These are to dampen vibrations caused by the wind.

The clutch arm bell housing boot suit V6 should start to become available in a week or two. The gear shift boot will be next project.

I have both of these (somewhere) that can be used by Peter for creating tooling if needed. The blocks for the grill are pretty basic, so shouldn't be too hard to re-produce. Cheers Jamie
