Turbo XF Falcon

Just thought i would post the daily run around. Or will be daily run around.
Before i continue i have to say a big thanks to by brother for giving the car to me, it was my 21st bday present.(its the second car he has given me, he gave me my Escort aswell, if only he gave the GSR)

Started out as a plain brown stock xf falcon. Car was then slowly stripped by my brother and painted dodge viper blue. My bro prepped the car and then had it sprayed. I made an exhaust manifold, dump pipe and cooler pipes for it, threw a hybrid front mount we had lying around. Had the inlet manifold modified by a mate as i dont have an alloy welder. Engine is stock, except for bolt ons.

Turbo - GT35/66, .86 rear housing
Tial 44mm external gate
Hybrid front mount
3inch exhaust
2.5inch intercooler pipes
EMS computer
600cc injectors
Not sure on fpr yet
2xvl turbo pumps

Car should be done in a few weeks. The wheels in teh pic are not staying on it, they are just on there so the car can be moved around, im going to put a set of 20's on it. Ill be happy if it makes 200rwkw as it will only be running low boost on a stock motor. Car will be my daily driver until my Escort is finished, then ill take my turbo and gate off and put it onto my Escort where its meant to be .

Yeah should be a fun to drive with the torque from the big 6. The EMS computer is now wired up and the car is running. not using the VL turbo pumps anymore, just a single bosch 044. Also got a sard regulator for it and a custom surge tank made for under the car. Oh and got a haltech wideband lambda sensor and gauge.

Yeah my brother is pretty generous. Gave me the Escort and now this and always helps out with my car. Now im just waiting for his XE hahaha.

Lucky having a brother like that, the turbo is a cool option thought about doing that to our AU falcon. looks great keep the photos coming. would be interesting to see a dyno figure on it once you've sorted it out

The AU motors are nice when they are turbo. As soon as i get the car, which should be a few weeks, ill throw it on the dyno and see what it makes and ill post the dyno.

Also got mu surgetank today. A mate up the road made it for me. Its sitting under the car as i dont want the petrol smell in the car.

Milans right, a lot of people stick au motors into xf/xe's and e series and turbo em. 4litre turbo sounds fun to me.

Hey Milan where did you get that alloy bracket for your bosch pump? Ive been looking everywhere for them!

    cheers,
    nigel

Nigel, try www.gcg.com.au and www.vpw.com.au, they have them. If your in Sydney, Motorsport Connections have them aswell. Are you looking for the VL size or 044 size bracket.

Thanks for that Milan, Gcg have the ones i want, the nice annodised alloy type. Im after the 044 type. Why do you ask, you have one youd like to sell?

Did you say your putting the gt35 onto your Escort? I was worried about making a gt30R spool up on my cossie! Any idea what boost you wanna run? 30psi range i imagine?

    cheers, nigel

Nigel, i have 2 044 brackets and 2 vl brackets. I thought if you needed a VL bracket, i got a spare one, cause i was going to run the 2xVl pumps but now running the 044.

Yeah going to be running the GT35/66 on the Escort. Boost will be 30psi+ or what ever it takes to make the power i want. It's on nos and has an auto with stally so not worried about when it comes on boost.
(when i take the turbo off the xf for the Escort ill get a GT42 for the xf, im even looking into a BA motor, they are cheap these days)
