Escort Mk1 Indicators Front.

Im currently restoring an escort mk1 and having issues with the front indicator plastic housing. My plastic ones that came with the car are warped and its impossible to get it to sit flush with the car when installed with lenses. Does anyone know if there are after-market options / alternatives available for this as it seems impossible to find replacements on-line and im on a bit of a budget.

Thanks
Luke

Try the alloy ones on ebay UK. The seller is AVO711M.

I got a set a while back and they were great. Much better than the 40 year old plastic ones.

Pretty sure the hole centers are different between plastic and metal ones, sure i had this drama (ie you need the right lenses to suit). I cut new plastic for the back ( flat bit) and bonded onto dished part. I then bought them cheap led panels and fixed them inside. It meant I could just use longer bolts to hold the lenses on and mount to the body.
Looks really good, reliable, and really cheap

Thanks for the replys. That looks interesting, i bought some new lenses which has the english spacing for the holes so should match up nicely. But for now im doing a dodge and using silicon and modifying the current plastic ones to keep it together and to get it on the road.
