okay, so the list is.....
body
- full strip, rust out and full respray in ford colour breeze
- white escort decal strip on both sides
- front and rear spoilers
-all rubber replaced
- underside sealed
- front and rear bumbers white,
- front bumber to have round holes 40mm in diameter spaced between blinkers
suspension
-replace all bushes
-new shockes
-lowered front springs
-mk2 van springs with lowering blocks
-larger front sway bar
-rear sway bar
-new strut tops
-front and rear strut braces
engine , gearbox, driveline
-2l pinto,
-t28 turbo
-front mount intercooler
-turbo carby or custom efi setup
-3'' exhaust or duel 2'', (high flow mufflers) keep it legal
-turbo fuel set up
-forged internals
-turbo cam
-copper head gasket
-oil cooler
-large alloy radiator
-type 9 5 speed
-custom tail shaft
-LSD (hilux diff or r31)
-manual pedal box standard
Brakes
- need help with this....... !!!!!!
wheels and tyres
going to get 15'' or 16'' white sunraisers with new rubber white walled.
interior
-standard look, pefect inside already, just tacho, boost, oil temp, oil pressure
-good but not over the top sound system.

If you are serious about applying horsepower and torque from the turbocharged engine you will need to ditch the van rear springs and lowering blocks. The leaf springs will whip and cause problems under acceleration.
At minimum add upper and lower trail arms and retain the leaf springs should solve some of the problems.
Ideally suggest looking for a 4 or 5 link suspension with coil overs and ditch the horse and buggy style rear springs completely.

Have you considered possibly putting in a engine which is already turbo charged such as a SR20 for example. I have seen a few Escorts which have had it done and I would imagine it would be cheaper then building up a turbo Pinto

I have thought that too.... thinking i want to keep it all ford for now..... could u explain the rear trailer arms abit more? Pictures? Coils im cool with.

If you want to keep all ford a Zetec is another option. It's a ford engine and I have seen plenty of people do these conversions.

Why not pick up a smashed up falcon eco-boost, transplant engine and box, then make up paddle shifts for around column, if you want to keep it ford. This is what im thinking for my mk2, they make as much power as a cosworth (virtually) modern technology, people in US/UK tuning them well too!!!

well i have gone back to pinto turbo, efi set up...... i have never built or rebuilt an engine before. done heaps of other car work though... can someone put me in the right direction?

Theres a good book couple of mates in uk have used to build pinto turbo from, think its called ford sohc tuning etc, can probably get it from pitstop book shop in WA
