Ebay Capri help wanted. - urgent

Hi All,

I am looking to maybe buy the Capri that is on ebay item number: 321662508166

The car is located in Hillside Melbourne and I wondered if there is anyone on the Forum who could look the car over for me? Or if anyone knows the car I would like to speak to them. I can be contacted on 0404177507. As you can appreciate this is urgent.

It is Sunday the 8th of Feb time 2.45 PM

You mean the grey one?  its across the other side of town from me, see if you can get the id plate details for engine trans paint.  When i first saw it I thought it was one of my old ones but its not, I dont recall seeing the car around, ill put the word out on the club page to see if anyone os nearby, its getting a bit late for me today, and I have day shifts the entire week this week

Capri The car I always promised myself

Yes the grey one. Thanks heaps guys. I am told by the seller it is a matching numbers GT. I just don't have time to check it out, I did get a price to buy it now but it is a massive risk without seeing it. I have done this before though some good some very bad. I am waiting to hear back from the seller with the VIN number and under bonnet pic's. I did a search on the rego in VIC Roads site and it didn't recognise the reg number?

    Hi Bernie,

Thanks for the interest and offer. Stefan is looking over the car for me on Wednesday and he knows his way around Capri's as you probably know. I will see what the result of that is before doing anything else for now.

It wasn't at the vac stage anyway Bernie, more like - an angle grinder and mig saga
original go green with a black interior, now lashings of 80's primer filler and gun metal grey. No major hits but lots of rust issues

its a good restorer - guards off with 3 x repair panels in each, resurrect the apron, significant rust repairs to the rear quarters, new tail light panel, significant repairs to the bonnet, new interior....

Wow Spud, that is a full report on the Capri. Thanks heaps for taking the time for me. I told the seller $5K would be a buy price on it due to the amount of repairs needed. He said go buy a Corolla for $5K ha ha. Warrnambool one is still not sold btw.
