Vintage Motor Garage Tour, Central Mangrove, Saturday 2nd May 2015

Hi guys,

The Hunter British Ford Group would like to invite the following clubs and any individuals who may be interested in our impromptu car display, picnic lunch and tour of the famous Vintage Motor Garage at Central Mangrove. Small Ford Car Club NSW, ACT Small Ford Owners Club, Cortina Anglia Prefect Club, Capri Car Club NSW, Euroford Club and the Ford RS Owners Club NSW. Any clubs that I may have missed are also most welcome to join in.

The Vintage Motor Garage is located at 1618 Wisemans Ferry Rd, Central Mangrove [see their website http://vintagemotorgarage.com/index.php] We will be driving into the premises, going past the old fuel bowsers and parking in the large grassy area behind the old workshops. Recommended to BYO picnic lunch, and fold up chairs etc.

This is a Saturday run and the owners now charge a $10.00 fee for the tour, which is good value considering the large amount of cars from all over the world undergoing major restoration work. Any feedback and replies of who is coming would be appreciated. More info to come. We're hoping to attract a large contingent of Small Fords to park up, catch up with everyone and enjoy a great day!

Latest Update. Workshop tour [and this is extensive] will start after lunch at 1.30pm. If numbers are large like last time, we can arrange two simultaneous tours starting from opposite ends of the workshops. Jonathon Houston tells me many of the previously seen cars undergoing restoration work have been completed and replaced by a new batch.

So the plan is to park up on arrival, enjoy your BYO lunch, everyone else's cars and a social catch up  before the 1.30pm tour.

Hunter British Ford Group arriving 12.00pm.  Don't forget, $10.00 per head for the workshop tour, payable to the owner Jonathon Houston. This is worth it, so much amazing machinery being restored!

Please bring the correct money. Not many sleeps to go!!

    Hi guys,

Due to the weather forecast for this event, it has been decided to postpone it. The Vintage Motor Garage suffered some damage from the recent super storm last week, and with more bad weather on the way, it's best to wait for all roads to be cleared of trees and debris etc.

We'll advise of the new date shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Cheers.
