All depends on what size rim you are running them on. Huge difference between 5.5 6 and 7. I've ran 205's in the past on 13x7's. I wouldn't want any more side wall bulge on a narrower rim.

I would love to hear what you think of these tyres handling wise.

Ive persisted with 13x6.5 inch rims on my mk2 for a while and finding good tyres that arent a semi-slick is tough.

I have used (and rate highly) Falken ZE912 in 205/60 on the back and 185/60 on front but they are expensive for a 13

Ive just bought 2x GT brand 205/60s and they are shocking. You can hear them cry whenever you think about turning. They are on the back which should make it fun but the sidewalls are that spongy that you feel like you are going to tank slap just changing lanes.
So yea very interested to see what you think!

    Cheers,
    Ryan

I just put a pair of 185/60/13 Hankook H437 Ventus V2 on the front of my MK1, 13x6 rims. $95ea fitted & balanced.
I haven't driven with them yet but I'll let you know they go :)

Road tested tonight. They're no Bridgestone Potenza but grip pretty well and quiet.
I have 205's on the back and they have a harder time keeping traction. Due to the age of the rubber and 4kg less weight compared to the steel wheels that were on there.

Not to happy, the cars sat and the tyres relaxed/stretched out and having clearance issues front and rear really should have gone 185s I think, anyone had this clearance problem and fixed it with out going over the top arches ect??

I was using 205/60R13 on my panelvan with no problems. I had a small amount of rubbing inside the guard on full lock but nothing worth worrying about. I have recently changed to standard wheels and tires for originality, I'm interested to see the difference.

I had 205 all round, had to space my front rims to stop the rubbing on the strut. 185 on the front was a lot better for turning

How was I getting away with running 205 all round with minimal problems when so many others are having problems?
