Mark 2 Rs=remote mirror mounting

Hi All,
Can someone tell me or supply a picture of how the mounting plate for the remote mirror toggle switch fits on the inside of the  drivers side door? Does the plate fit on the inside or the outside of the inner door skin. The English version seem to fit on the back of the door card but look different to ours. Any clues appreciated,

    The U bracket fits between the adjuster and the inside of the door frame with the cup of the U facing the door frame.
    I am trying to upload a sketch from the original Ford spare parts list but not happening.

    Thanks, Peter.  My bracket is a different shape from the picture you posted- maybe it's a Falcon one I've got. Still gives me clue about placing inside the inner door panel.
