These are the alloy goodies I have been collecting over the last few months...all to be stipped of their anodised finish and then reanodised to match the engine

Cheers Guys

The boot carpet is now cut to shape, just needs to be bound around the edges to finish it off

Hi Chris,

They have been modified but with the intent of retaining the original styling

I finished the door cards today...they are ready to be trimmed[:p] There has also been a change of plans on the insert material for the seats and doors...a new grey cloth has been chosen, similar in texture to the original Recaro inserts which should look awsome

I love what you are doing with this car Phil! Attention to detail is amazing, the quality of parts and the amount of crazy engineering that is going into this Cortina will make it something VERY special!

Cannot wait to see the final product!

Cheers Reece

Its been an enjoyable journey that is finally getting close to being complete...I will be stoked when there's nothing left to do other than get in and go for a cruise[:p]

With the remaining tasks that I can finish myself running thin, I decided to make a start on the engine bay side of the AC system which is pretty much all that is left besides to engine and trim. I headed off to good old pick and payless to track down some take of blocks for the AC pipes from the condensor, courtesy of an L300 and a Nimbus I managed to get hold of the blocks to suit my condensor and the pipe runs. It is still quite suprising that every component that happens to be suitable for my install comes from a Mitsubishi!! Here is a pic of the condensor in place, the new radiator top tank will extend forward over the intercooler and conceal the condensor

The radiator is now under way...should be ready to trial fit next weekend. The core will be 40mm thick,540mm wide and 380mm high. This is about 25% larger than my old radiator I have been making up the fan mounts, it will run 2 Spal 10" fans moving 1330 cfm of air[:p]
