Im more than happy to use them and more than confident they will stand up to whatever this new engine can deliver, even if it was to see 800hp[:o)][;^)]. After all, its not an F1 car, its a Mk1 Cortina[%]

Anyway, life goes on and the work still isnt finished...I've been working on the rear seat structure which is proving to be quite a challenge. Someone welded a load of bars and floor boxes right where the seat originally went so the seat needs to fit between/around/over these extra bits as well as resemble the recaro's in the front. After consulting with my trimmer we decided on removable inserts to make the seats more flexible when removing and refitting...the rear seat squab needs to go in through the left rear quarter window. I've now finished modding the rear squab frame and have made templates to reproduce the general profile of the original seats.

Rear seat base frame is pretty much finished...getting it in and out is a bit like solving a rubik's cube[B)]

Once the base is in there its not to bad for access, the base will lift up enough to get to the battery. I also have a remote access for the trickle charger to plug into. Being an absorbed glass mat type battery, it can never be allowed to discharge fully

The question would be why not...without effort it would be the same sheetmetal finish as every other car with a cage and 4 link[%] The seat also doubles as insulation and noise dampening

phil you just want people to think it a normal car with just a quick cage install don't you. this idea would work except for the massive tyres and roar of the new cosworth. anyway love you work very impressive you have turned what was an outstanding car in to what is going to be classified as automotive art.
