A bit has been happening while the old girl is away from home...[:p]

Some cool cruising coming up

And a bit of power assist...not the hair drier variety[;^)] I should have spare unit very shortly if anyone is considering the electric powersteer conversion

Hi Phil nice steering setup did you get it from Matt, mine turned up
today. How thick have you made your caliper brackets as my calipers have to sit pretty far out and was a bit concerend about movement.

I reckon there will be more than enough grunt to redeem me from the 'Soft' status and carry the extra weight but yes...I'm getting old[:p]

Hi Santa,

I bought mine not converted,I will do the conversion myself. What did yours cost you landed here?

My caliper brackets are 12mm thick You could probably get away with 10mm if you need to.

Hi Benn,

I've lost track of the total brake conversion cost but to replace them we'd be talking around 6g I'd say. Some smart shopping on Ebay can help reduce that figure

I'm still in the auto game, now running the fixed ops side of a Subaru dealership...still lovin the Subaru's

Are you still playing with VW's? I was thinking of you the other day when chasing some specs on Golf lifter buckets...

Hi Jordan,

The bilsteins have been in there for a few years now in their current form. I previously ran some custom Capri struts with bilsteins before these

Cheers,

Phil.

They are awsome They were custom valved to suit the corner weights of the car. The handling is second to none and works well at both Oran Park and Eastern Creek. Im keen to get back out there and try it again...I'm expecting to run in the 1min40's at Eastern Creek now courtesy of the extra grunt and rear end improvements
