285's is the correct size[:p]
Good to hear you managed to get a 200 block, instead of the 205. Considering how much you are going to push the new engine.

This is the new home for those 285's[:p] Still some finishing to do around the seams and the expansion fillet's but you get the general idea

That has come up good Phil.Got any tips for welding upside down,I will be happy if mine finish up as neat.

Hi Santa, the number 1 tip is make sure the metal is clean and then clamped together with no gaps...the rest is easy if those 2 points are spot on

The rear quarter and wheel tub mods are pretty much finished, just some smoothing over to be done[:p] I've tried to maintain the original lines inside and out There's also a rear strut brace in there now for good measure

Again Phil looking good, with the brace have you just put some tube in between or have you put plates on the ends aswell.

I have plated the strut towers where the tube mounts up to. The tube is 1.75" .102 wall thickness Andra Spec left over from my cage

how did u weld in the tubs without blistering the paint on the out side of the guards??

Hi Whoppa, I did blister the paint on the rear quarters unfortunately,I ended up brush touching the paint temporarily

it looks great im lookin to do somthin like this soon... mabi just the inside tubs... i herd someone talking about a glue/fiberglass kind of thing.. insted of welding them.. for people like u with nice paint who want to tubs it.. have u herd anything?

Hi Whoppa, there are some urathane products that you can glue mini tubs in with
