I recently bought a new one for $80 including postage on Ebay UK, so they do pop up from time to time.
It was a "Moprod" branded one. They want crazy money for NOS Ford senders if you can find one.

    Cheers, Jason.

So I gather there isn't aftermarket items. Looks like it may take a while, there is a nos Ford one for $275 at the moment.

Thanks Drew, I just looked at the website and senders are listed. I will be contacting them during the week. Peter.

Not sure where you are based but any instrument repairer can fix your old one for way less than that!

In Melbourne there are a few without even searching.  Ringwood Speedo services, Howard Instruments in Heidelberg, Auto & Marine Instruments in Moorabbin.

    Make it go FASTER!

The NOS unit would be tempting if it wasn't so dear. I am starting to find they are hard to find. The idea of repair may end up the way to go.

I agree with Gdub. Getting your sender repaired is by far the cheapest easiest option.
Don't forget there are different versions of the sender units so if you are going to buy one make absolutely certain it is suited to your car.
