Clutch cable

Does anybody have photos of how the clutch cable sits on a v6 ,near steering shaft
extractor etc

    The one I have fitted was supplied by yesterford in Victoria and is a bit longer than the original, I had to thread it between the 1st and 2nd header pipe.

    Here's mine melting away on the exhaust as usual.  A touch longer would be better.  There is a clip bolted to the block near the sump that holds it in correct alignment.  Not sure if original or not.

    ive always routed the cable out btn the extractors and inner guard (and maybe loom tie it away if too short - never that way

    I tried that but the cable was at a horrible angle, maybe the pacemaker headers are wider than original, or maybe the clip on the block doesnt belong.  I didnt worry too much as with the old extracters the cable touched and melted as well.  When I strip it down for the respray, soon I hope, I will look at getting a custom cable made to clear them, or maybe try the longer yesterford ones.
     
     
    Just checked some old photos and the cable was in the same place with orig extractors and was touching the rear one.
