Thermostate V6 1970

I currently have a 95 degree thermostate in my V6 motor, is anyone running a colder temp unit than this ?  How much difference does this make to the engine temp.  ? If so what brand.

Cheers Mark

I was told by a giza at Ripco that a colder thermostat will open earlier obviously but not affect the running temp ... That is controlled by radiator efficency and electric Cooling fans if fitted.
Most run 88 or 92 degree thermostats . Dayco , QH are ok brands ... just remember to pour boiling water over it slowly to check it works properly before installing ..

Actually the Essex V6 does need a thermostat, not for temperature aspect, but it stops the water cavitating
