I need helicoil kit for my carb body, repairing the thread for Primary Idle jet holder.

Is this 1/4" UNC??

Maybe try a 1/4" UNC screw or bolt into it.

    Hi Peter

This was a different topic that no one replied to so I edited it and bumped, rather than create a new one. I've only just today encountered the problem and being Saturday, have no fastener shops open let alone time to get to one.

Time being of the essence I was hoping someone could confirm so I can order cheap helicoil kit on ebay asap.

    Cheers

Rather than fluff around with this worn carb body I've decided to employ the services of a local carb expert who'll be fitting and tuning a 38 weber for me on Friday
