Steel trim colour

What is the original colour of the black steel trims inside the MK1 V6. Some of mine are gloss and some are flat black.

    If I am remembering correctly then it was satin black. The trouble with flat black is it gets marked easily. Full gloss is nice and shiny and easy care but is a bit overpowering.

    I would say the original set I have are satin black.

    Yep, satin finish. I painted some in gloss black many years ago and they reflected the sunlight too much.

    My 3000E has factory wrinkle finish.  The MK2 Ghias had vinyl wrapped ones.  MK1 GT items are satin black A trims, the B and C trims are the respective seat color, unless you had white seats...
