Green as Mk2

After years of poaching info off this site I've figured out how to put up pics.
Here's my car.

Very nice Escort............can't decide whether to do same to my Capri in pic, or leave it original with all its "warts"

Leave it with the warts! You can paint it any time.
I wanted to leave mine original but it was a bit past it.

Lovely car pal and your interior looks so clean, what you use to get all the tar and crap on the floor?

I used a heat gun and a scraper for the stuff that looks like it's been sprayed on, then smashed it with a bunch of wire wheels in a drill. Did that a bunch of times it took months. For the bigger chunks like on the tunnel and front front floors I used a block of dry ice with mixed results, most will peel up pretty easily as is. Used a flap disc to tidy some bits too.

    It took ages!

Ta, That's exactly what im building it for! Some of the best targa stages are only a stones throw away from where I live. Zetec will be a bit more exciting than the kent. I did have loads of fun with the 1600 though.

Picked up a stage 2 retro ford kit with jenveys and omex 600 off a good mate who is now concentrating on other cars now. It came out of the mk1 van and was possibly the greatest sleeper in the world:-)
I'll put up some better pics after I give it a good clean.
