A blown head gasket or not a blown head gasket that is the question!

I'm pretty sure the head gasket is gone... It also maybe a contributor to the poor running of my escort (1.6L)... I did a compression test and I got #1 - 160psi #2 156psi #3 144psi #4 151psi. Engine was brought up to operating temperature and a few runs were done and averaged to get the scores. I have a feeling the lower compression of #3 and #4 (mainly #3) is because that is where the majority of the seeping water/coolant is coming from... Any help is appreciated!

Sounds like the head gasket is gone between 3 & 4. Probably blown the fire ring on number 3, time to pull the head and check it.  While you've got it off check that the sealing surfaces on the head and block are true and there are no cracks in the head.
    Good luck
