mk1 track day car
I have just finished building(are they ever finished)my mk1 track day car 1600cc lots of extras can't wait to get it on the track worked head twin 45 dellortos adjustable suspension 2 1/2 in exhaust 7" hotwires with 205 60 13 advans 4.1 diff how do I post pics?

brakes are mk2 disks with ebc pads front and mk2 drums rear with competition shoes and an adjustable pedal box all suspension is mk2 except rear leafs are reset mk1 and fronts are adjustable coils car was on eBay in ballarat last sept it was a 1300 xl I drove it home from ballarat to newcastle at 80 kph and it never missed a beat it had 12" wheels and no radio and took 2 days the worst part of the trip was liverpool to hornsby the rest was great cruising along the highway it has changed a bit since then

the door cards are the original front and rear (white) I believe it was an old ladies car the cage was made by myself and a mate who is a cams aproved roll bar maker and scutineer etc it is fully welded in there where many hours of cutting welding and bending and swearing and putting bars in and out of the car it is padded with air con insulation stuck on with contact hope I never need to use it the centre console has since been trimmed in black vinyl

i run twin 45's on a 1600's too, it isnt a problem (speaking for myself here, not sure how 356mal goes) as long as the head has enough work down to flow well.

it goes well but I haven't really pushed it yet reved to about 6000 I have only driven it about 150k's will get it dynoed soon biggest problem is on a trip to maitland and back I got about 12mpg (22ltr pr 100k) of premium 98 + octane boost + valve saver I think I will build a trailer to go to EC and OP head is well ported and hand made extracters work well
