    Sen-bloody sational!

So much better when I know the roads. Clarendon is up the road from me. On video 3 if you didn't veer off the the right it would take you down the hill about a minute or 2from my house.

Also on video 3 about 35seconds into it, Im standing there on the corner. I was cheering ya.

I used to regularly go for a drive along those roads in my lunch break at high school or when i was bored. I dont get up there so much now.

    Once again good vids.

Haha, video 5 just as it comes on your going down hill to the left than soon goes right.

One of my hairiest moment in an Escort ever there (not my own Escort-since been sold) muahaha. Thanks Russ.

The car was setup pretty hard in suspension -full konis, stiff springs etc, big sway bars and I came into that way too quick one night and it made rear skip round on me so I held opposite lock and the rest was just luck. [:u] Was crazy but luck made me and my mate survive it. I wouldn't say I was very skillful at about 16 or 17yrs old.

    Rhys,
Yeah knowledge of the roads would be great. We're definitely going pace notes this year - the road books they provide give you the essentials but are pretty inadequate (as you can hear).

Yes, I was thinking that the driver didn't have a whole lot to go on there with those notes. Goodluck next year, I'll keep my eye out once again.

    Rhys,
You started to early, corner before your arrow is first one in video 3. Next screen up should show x-mas tree farm where I sit and tight corner. Does your mate live near Forby road? which is off hairpin type corner in your diagram? Dangerous road that....

How did you like my launch? [:I]

A 2.5 first gear with a 3.9 diff doesn't make for a fast launch, but it allows me to throw it into first going into corners at 60kmh and accelerate out.

    Good footage,

You gotta get pace notes, heaps better to drive with. Are you going to do it again next year?

All paid up and definitely going with pace notes. You can see in the vids that at some corners I'm slowing due to not knowing what's around the corner, and then seeing a straight away and have to accelerate again - losing time all over the place.

With the new head and pace notes and some experience behind us we should be able to improve our times considerably.
