Front Sway Bar - With Coil Overs

Hi All,
Chasing some advice on front sway bar setups with coil overs.
I was able to find some posts on the old forum site regarding sway bar sizes, but nothing with a coil over setup. The coil over spring rate has slipped my mind but as soon as i recall it ill post that up.
Does anyone have any advice they could give me on what size they are running with coil overs?
Its  a Mk1 2 door with rs2000 front struts with pinto motor.
Will be a very limited use car with some track time but will remain road registered.
Other suggestions of what to upgrade upfront in the suspension while I'm doing it i.e. Adjustable TCA's or bearing tops etc?

THanks for your help,
Kieran

    Hey Mate,

I have GAZ Gold Coilovers with 275lb 2.5" springs with a 22mm K-Mac Sway bar.  The car has been set up for the track though.

Some will say my springs are too stiff but time will tell.  Springs are cheap to buy.

I have eccentric strut tops and "in-situ" adjustable TCA's too.  The adjustable TCA's are good to give you more camber.

All the above is great and is only there to help make the wheel alignment more exact and give a wider scope of adjustment.

    Cheers

The fact you have coil overs is irrelevant to sway bar size, however the spring rate of your coil over springs is really important. In reality, the sway bar is just another spring so for instance if you had 300LB springs, a really big front bar would usually be counter productive.

Mine has 250LB springs with a KMAC caster adjustable 22mm bar.  I like it and particularly how it feels hard braking and also on turn in, but your wheel and tyre combo will also be a contributing factor.  I am currently on 13x7 with 205/60 Kuhmo V700's.  15" wheels with 50 profile rubber may change the way it feels.

Yeah that's what I meant regarding recalling the spring rate. I will dig up mine but im sure it's around the 250 to 260 mark.
Where's a good place to get kmac and white line products from? I'll check out prices and decide from there. I might as well do everything while I'm at it. Thanks for the help
