large tunnel in auto shell

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if one of the aftermarket large gearbox tunnels like Motorsport tools, rally design, race etc sell, will fit a Mk1 shell after an Auto tunnel has been removed.
The Auto Tunnel I have has been butchered and is in need of replacing.
Need to know if the aftermarket component is wide and tall enough to fill the firewall hole left after the Auto tunnel is removed.

Cheers fore the advice

Justin

Can you fabricate one to fit the hole that's there or gearbox you're using? Mild steels cheap and cardboard for a template should be easy to get.....

    Drew,
That is my fall back position. Looking for the quick option rather than cost effective.

If you took a lot of measurements and drew up what you wanted you should take it to your locan sheet metal fab company, you`ll get exactly what you want a hell of a lot cheaper and faster than buying a prefab tunnel
