Hi Ron, if you loved the wipers & sheepskin you'll like the other photos I found. She was jacked up to the max, still scrubbed out with those 235's on the back and you'll love the multi coloured Wollen rug on the rear parcel shelf. Also twin system split each side but car only had one notch on the left hand side for the pipe. Always thought it should have one each side but have seen a few since then like mine so I guess it was correct with twin system out lhs. hopefully these photos upload, doing it from my phone which normally means I need my daughters help to make work. Cheers Jon

I think this car could be in the QLD club. The Wild Plum car in our club has saddle trim with the aerial on the rear quarter.

Hi Peter, sorry didn't reply to your comment regarding current owner. Long storey but car went in a big circle with couple of different owners and ended up living not more than 10klm down the road from me. Current owner nice bloke but not selling anytime soon. Has been painted since the photos I posted still a nice car and would love it in my shed.

Thats so cool.
OK the one in the club that looks like yours, ill guide you there.
Go to capri projects and scroll down to a green capri 1600xl engine reno( make sure at the bottom of the page it says posts "from the beginning". Then click on the 1600xl post and see the link for capri chatter blogspot. Click on the link and then scroll down to capri club christmas outing 2014 and see the wild plum car. The aeriel  gives it away.
Cheers,  ron.

Ron
I am surprised that you remember so well all the bits & pieces that appear on my rather rambling blog.
Cheers

I'm fairly sure that car was on ebay a few years ago (2008 from memory). Sold for $18-19k. I was interested in the car and may still have the photos he sent me.

So mine missed out by two car chassis no. Doesn't matter any Capri is special. I'm currently welding and replacing rusted sections. Can anyone let me know where to get replacement front guards metal ones and also floor sections. Interesting to note the extra panels put in on this behind the front wheels to stop mud and water reaching the A pillar, I have never seen them before they are covered in the edges with stapled on rubber. Back to work I go (actually in fun and games) Keith

Sorry I thought flat and matt were two words for the same thing.

pretty sure there is a slight difference in the way they reflect light giving a different look to the texture of the finish, but I'm not sure what original is meant to be and if the bonnet is different to the rear panel.

The lighting is slightly different but the photo of Teal is what I think is the matt finish, maybe Ron's is flat.  Teal looks less glossy with more texture (rougher looking).  Parts manual just says black and for the rear panel says Argent, so at least that question is answered.

In terms of gloss/smoothness I thought it goes matt, flat, satin, semi gloss, gloss but I dont know for sure which is why I am asking.
