32/36 weber float level settings

Gday all,
in the process of rebuilding a standard 32/36 DGAV carb for my 2 litre. I used the settings out of the gregorys manual which state 35.3mm for the vertical measurement and 45mm for the horizontal level measure. I have a plastic float. Ive searched around the web and have since found a number of sources stating the horizontal setting should be 51mm, not 45mm. What do those knowledgable with these webers recommend as the horizontal setting ?
        Cheers

Lower setting isn't as critical both 45 and 51 will provide sufficient needle unseat. Go 48mm 😉

OK thanks, will do that. Im guessing by your comments that the top setting is more critical and as all sources state 35mm that is what I shall use for the top setting.
