MK2 Mexico replica

Was just going to show up with this to SFS, but Zac keeps hassling me to put a thread up haha.

Bought this before buying my MK1 back, put it up on eBay once but the guy never came and picked it up and I was too lazy to relist it, so here we are.

Only photos of I have before stripping it until I get my other phone back, will add a couple more later.

Basically when I bought it, it had been restored once before then sat around rotting for a fair few years. Had a fairly standard 2L in it, Falcon front stud conversion, brake upgrade, shortened 28spline Borg Warner diff still with 5stud Commodore pattern, retrimmed interior (which I've since sold).

I planned on just doing a quick respray and driving it, however I found some sh**ty bog repairs while rubbing it back, one thing led to another, and well...

Decided to do a Mexico replica, bare metal respray, smoothed engine bay, hidden wiring, etc. Leaning towards painting it either electric or blood orange at this stage, probably electric. Have started swapping the worked 2L from Eskie, will either run my type 9 or just a standard 4spd behind it not sure yet. I'm converting it back to 4stud and will either sell the 5stud conversion or keep it for one of my other Escorts not sure yet, as this needs to be 4stud to run the wheels I want for it. Anyway, more pics

How it currently sits:

Hoping to have it done for summer, will be pushing it though.
