Oh, if anyone is interested I started a Facebook page for Sundowners if you fancy joining in :-)

All helps to keep these vans on the road!

Let me know if I can help in any way from the UK

Hi Jim,

I actually joined this site last year but never got round to posting!

Anyway, yes Ive got one of Australia's Sundowners here in the UK. Whooligan knows the van and a few others :-)
Mine is a 2.0 1979 White version and is currently on a frame so I can sort out the underneath. It's having a full resto!

I will contact the team at Aldridge and see if the price could be reduced if another was ordered from them. Im sure that this full length headlining would appeal to the guys in the UK with vans as we only had a headlining that covered the front 'cabin' area.
Cheers
Justin

The UK doortrims are different to the Aus ones. I take it you mean the actual card that goes on the inside of the door?
Jim, great news about the headlining and price I think is good. Great work

Is the headlining Aldridge is supplying the Aussie style (I've seen it called "off-white crater"), or the darker "moonstone" (putty or black) pattern used in the UK?

WTB: Recaro seat - any condition considered

Hi Flighter,
headlining just arrived this morning, "to me,in my opinion" lol
they have written on it made in putty moonstone,
I reckon our headlinings here seem a more white than Aldridge supply
could be age of material or my eye sight.

Justin, how about going to Jennifer at Aldridge and ask to see both the sample I sent
and their moonstone putty. You can compare side by side that way and let Flighter know,
thanks
Jim

Glenn, just going back to the door trims, can you send me a head on picture of your door trims? Mine have a small section missing.
I will be going over to Aldridge Trimming regarding the headlining and I will see if they can manufacture some door trims for the Australian Escort.
Are the vans the same style as the saloons?
