Mk2 Escort Wing mirrors on Aussie shell

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the Uk style wing mirrors fit the same holes in the driver side door as im looking to get a mirror for the left side aswell but having trouble finding a matching aussie mirror and yet Uk wing mirrors are easy to find and cheap and look nice.

    I can't say for certain, but I've seen a local Mk2 Escort fitted with UK mirrors, so I wouldn't at all be surprised if they drop straight on.  Are they cheap enough to risk it?

    WTB: Recaro seat - any condition considered
