Nice setup Mark How much susp travel do you have when at ride height? With that strut top it looks like you are losing over an inch of travel? You should make more of those hubs to sell... nige

Nigel, there are many inches (more mm) of travel at ride height for compression, please consider that 300lb springs are heavy for the road, but not ideal for the track (400lb) are better. The compression from droop to ride is 29.17mm for 300lb springs, so it is only a small amount...Travel is totally irrelavent and no drama...

Great work Mark - those strut tops are a nice deviation from the norm. I must admit when I saw the original images of them I couldn't quite imagine how they were fitted - now it's clear. It also overcomes the limited adjustment with the smaller strut mount of the Mk2. Having the embossed cover plate ontop of the strut tower is a very clever option and will add another dimension to the Escort engine bay! Can't wait to see the callipers mounted around those "dinner plates"

....I thought I'd just draw up and machine my own... There was a truncated timetable to meet All Ford Day, but maybe should have "nagged" them more...

Haha.
You could machine a new top for the hat.
I think it is thick enough - would cost alot less in material.
