Nice - you better sort out a turbo bracket though.

Looking good Mark, What size rear housing is that ?

Is the internal wastegate part just bolted on the the back of the usual external gate housing ? (if you get what i mean)

Best of luck on the dyno

I thought there were only problems encountered with pulling the exhaust studs out when running the heavier 2wd manifold ?

Cheers.

You are right - forgot he had a 4wd manifold. Could no see the manifold. I assume a 2wd would not fit an escort?

I think the major problem is manifold cracking in the 2wd manifold and no damper.

Ahh ok.. They do fit the 2wd manifold in there but it extremely tight, the studs need to be removed for clearance.. i would say some massaging of the inner guard may be neccessary aswell.

Looks good mate. I can see a major problem with that set up, that I dont think your going to be able to fix easily tho. Your tyres arent wide enough and 365s arent going to fit under those gaurds [(#)]
Bring on the arches I say

Should not be a problem with the 4x4 manifold. It is so tucked into the side of the head that the bending moment is pretty small and my exhaust is well hung to reduce loads, but nothing is for sure I suppose.

GT30/76R
A/R = 0.86 turbine and 0.6 compressor.
Cast internal gate housing to V-band exhaust adaptor.

You need to have a weak point - let's make it consummables rather than mechanical rotating parts[;^)]

I definately agree ! That said there is more than one escort that has gone quickly on the drag strip with standard arches.

I will be curious to hear what you think of the new gearbox as well.

The gearbox is mad. Not too loud, only third makes "noise" and it is tough so no complaints here.

Today's Dyno session is not happeneing due to meetings, oh and I am fitting a new water pump too. I hope to be there within a week.
