Mk1 Cortina - Brake Master and Reservoir

Hi all,

Wondering what alternative brake master reservoir people have used to pump 4 wheel discs, unboosted of course,

To suit the original Mk1 Pedal box, i have heard some people using nissan masters, if so what type

I have looked into the Wilwood reverse pedal box, and burtons website, but looking at a more easier option, if possible

Cheers

I can't remember for 100% sure - someone else might be able to confirm - but I think there was a model of Nissan 720 ute which was a match in physical/bolt on terms and also about right for m/c sizing for many caliper conversions.

    Cheers mate

So I have contacted PBR and they are unable to advise on modified cars

Might have to visit a wreckers and have a trial to the pedal box, as the clutch master is close also

i fitted a datsun 1200-1600 master cylinder but i am running drum rears, you need to drill the mounting holes to 10mm by memory and fit your original push rod

I have heard of another person using a 1600 master, and has wilwoods all round,

I did a quick search both willwoods and generic nissan masters,

seems they do fit with minimal mods, but pumping the whole system is where im at a loss,

willwoods have a nice finish to them

Cheers for that mate, did you have any flex on the firewall by chance hanging off the pedal at times?
