Anyone know if this is a standard ford colour?
Hey all,
I've decided on a blue looking very similar to this one.
Is this a standard Ford Blue that I can get a paint code for, or will I have to get it made up?
Cheers,

That looks like Blueprint, as used on TE50/TS50s. It'd be pretty close anyway! :)

Thanks 75Van!
Does that come in a non metallic? All the blueprints seem to be a metallic colour.

Not real sure if it could be matched in a non-metallic paint, but I can't see why not - it would have to be a custom mix probably.
Unless someone else here knows if other Escorts of this period were available in this colour... ;)

Blueprint is definitely metallic, great colour though, was looking for a blueprint XR8 for a while. ('settled' for venom red in the end as the condition of the car was too good to pass up. At least it's a good match for my RS though!)
BLUEPRINT TE50
There's a solid Ford blue from the seventies called True blue. Maybe a bit light for what you're after?
TRUE BLUE XY GT
Ford Bionic blue is pretty close to the colour on the MK2 Escort you pictured.
It's a solid blue too & was available on the B series falcons.
BIONIC BLUE
Cheers, Jason.

In 1976 Ford release a colour called blaze blue or blue blaze. I bought a brand new Mk2 4 door in that colur which looks very similar to what you are asking.
