2006 focus 2.0 duratec

Hi guys, couple of questions about the duratec, I hav'nt considered one up till now so I don't know that much about them
 An "06" 2.0 duratec auto Focus has turned up at a local wreckers and im just wondering whats needed from the donor vehicle? for a mk1

Depends how far you want to take it?
Problem being your having to convert an east/west FWD engine to north/south RWD of a mk1. So most manifolds, gearbox etc will be useless really. Water rails and other things need to be modified. But there are total kits you can get to do everything now. As the Duratec is pretty popular in the UK as im sure you now know.
 
People like Eurospeed in Brisbane, Roger Carol in Adelaide and a number of guys in the UK like Retroford, SBD, Dunnell, Burton, Raceline and others make some pretty good gear. But without going into details on exact parts needed, like anything it depends on budget and how far your willing to go. 

As another slightly cheaper and easier option Zetec's do tend to be a bit easier to put in as they can mate up to standard type9 gearboxes and the sumps available tend to have a slightly easier life of clearing the crossmember ;)
