Has the correct battery recess, but indeed has no corner braces in the engine bay (I can't see the fuel tank in that photo, maybe my computer screen or my tired eyes).

    Does any know the owner??

All I can say is that Chris, the owner, is a member of the Classic Ford Club Inc. in Tasmania.

    Current ride:

    1. The engine bay gussetts (or lack thereof) are only 1 possible structural difference from 4cyl to 6cyl base shell.  You'll note that the spot weld area to attach the inner wings to firewall top plate shows very 'strong' indentations (both sides) from the welds.

    2. If there is actually a petrol tank in that boot........Very dark photo in that respect.  My 6cyl tank is very prominent in the way it consumes boot space.

    3.  Cross member bolts - only 1 is visible.  A capri V6 wreck I bought did not have the square plated top captive nut arrangement, despite being only 1 production month different to my other Capri. Did not appear to be bodgied and was a genuine V6 - just very rooted from the Tarago rear shunt. Hard to know prodn differences after 20yrs (at that stage). Need some better pics of this area.

Would require a close inspection with the knowledge to check the other V6 structural things.
And for the asking price, an airfare + weekend trip to TAS would be of little expense in the scheme of things.

Be informed about what you actually buy.
My first V6 had 4cyl XL instruments...I found out eventually....
