Motorbike ECM

Hi all,
Has anyone considered using a complete efi system off a late model bike?
I.E throttle bodies, ecm, wiring looms, coil packs, sensors etc
Maybe a cost effective solution for fuel injection.
I am considering using one to fuel an engine with about 150hp.
For example a 2002 Yamaha R1 produces 152hp so hopefully the ecm will be adequete.
Thoughts?

    I am definitely NO expert on ECU's, but wouldn't it be totally different maps as the bike engine would be making that power at much higher revs than a car engine (S2000 VTEC possibly excepted)... That would mean at the car engines peak revs (say 7000), the ECU would only be fueling for maybe 1/2 of the power level at those revs as this is where a bike engine starts to take off...
     
    Interesting but the engine characterisics would be very different, unless you are going to remap....

    Just my 2.2c worth including GST....

    If you are willing to go to that much effort you're better off using a 808 delco ecu and then tune it with delco hack. You can normally get a camira loom and ecu for less than $100, then to delco hack the ecu is less than $400. The tuning software is as powerful as the older motec software. Megasquirt is another good option.

    Heaps of guys use the Bike EFI systems in the UK and all use an aftermarket ECU like MegaSquirt etc.. 
     
    Would be cheaper and more tunable too than using the standard ECU.

    When using the bike throttle bodies for motorsport (speedway) aftermarket ECU are used.
    If it's not going to suit a bike, I doubt it will suit a car. 
     
    Be nice if the old pinto reved like an R1 though
