Axle splines on Mk1 escort

I've got a Amaroo Clubman with a Mk1 escort diff in it. I want to fit a Quaife ATB diff but need to know if axles have 16 or 22 splines. Being basically a lazy bugger I don't want to pull car out of use to pull axles and check.
Thought someone might know if this can be determined from the following data taken from diff
On casing nose = Borg Warner
On casing base what appears to be E222
On diff tag the following;
73AA 4005 - DB
4.11
Serial No: cant make this out

Any help appreciated

    Escort english axles are 22 spline.

    (I'd still double check whatever you have before ordering...... )

    Thanks for that Shaun - will probably end up pulling them but will wait a while longer being the eternal optimist and lazy bugger in the hope that there is a BW escort Mk1 axle sage lurking somewhere!

    Quaife LSD will not fit a Borg Warner diff fitted to an Australian Escort.
    Don't go for an ATB you will regret it. Get a plate LSD from a local supplier who will give you the correct advice and will get a plate diff built to suit your car. I may fall into that category

    Thanks for that Smcka.
    I've got a Quaife in a 67 Cooper S I run and seems to work well and not pull my arms out of their sockets but gather its a horses for courses job and FWD and independent suspension is a lot different to the clubby.
    What are your thoughts on a suitable diff. The clubby only weighs some 580 kg and has about 110 kw at the wheels.

    Cheers
