Duratec wet sump clearance

Can anyone confirm that u must use a wcxm if u want to fit a wet sumpped duratec into a mk1 escort?

    The WCXM is not so much of the issue as the low steering rack mounts. Arron on here has fitted one using a standard XM I believe

    As above.. its the steering rack which is the problem. You can get lowered rack mount cross-members, but you will need to rectify the change in steering geometry by using cranked steering arms.
