MK1 & Mk2 rear seats fitment

Hi all
Does anyone know if mk2 rear seat (both bits) will fit in a mk1

    From memory, they top of the back rest will sit higher, by about an inch or 2 when you use mk2 seats in a mk1, but yes, they will fit.

    The anchor points for the seats are different between the 2 models so they will need some tweaking. If you sit the base of the mk2 in then yes the top will sit too high. If you sit the top in at the correct height first, then the base can be forced in but you will need to find a new way to secure it as it will keep "popping" out.
