Question for the transmission blokes

Hey Fellas,

Been held up a little with my capri getting on the road. She is currently at an auto transmission place ( has been for sometime ) and he advises
that the Auto is buggered , showed me the internals and hes spot on  ( i took the car there thinking i got the band adjustment wrong )
Does anyone have a source for an auto to go behind my 1600 kent ?
The option he has given is to put a supra gearbox behind which has turned out prohibitive in cost ( 4500 just in parts )
I have an acquaintance from the qld capri club that has generously offered a manual box from behind a v6 and its tailshaft / pedal box etc
im not sure whats required in regards to adapters / mods for that to run ?

thanks for reading any input is welcome

Ive got an auto box to suit the kent motor. I dont know its condition as it was in a car that I bought that wasnt running. When I pulled it out it didnt have any obvious problems. Anyway your welcome to it but you will need to pick it up. I am  on brisbane northside.

The box is a Borg Warner 35, all MK1 escorts, and MK2 Cortinas had these as well as Capris, they difffer from Falcon BW35 as the shift mecahanism is on the left not right.  I have a refreshed V6 one which should be as simple as swapping the bell housing and torque converter to mate it to your Kent

    So .... Update ..

Dropped the little trans off this morning and just received a call from the auto bloke saying its a c10 or the like that mates up to a pinto ?

Anyway .. I'm still stuck as this new trans needs a converter / bell housing and trans cooler setup .

Really need to track down a Borg Warner 35

Any suggestions would be of great help

    Cheers
