My Zetec is about 100Kg, but it has a CGI block and so I would suggest that 110Kg is normal.

    Duratec is around 80Kg.

You sure a Duratec is that light?
I moved a 2.3 recently and remember thinking damn it was heavy.. Like not to far of Pinto heavy.
Then when talking to someone about it they said its probably because although the block is alloy, there is quiet a bit more components inside made of steel.
Not sure how true this is?

You could be right. The Duratec I weighed had no ancillaries on it. Assume then around 90Kg with a super light flywheel etc and the usual ancillaries.
