Brake pads!

Hi All,

I have a set of Wilwood 4 pots for my MK2 and it's time to weigh up my options for brake pads! What's your preference?

Cheers.

Ha thanks! Yeah it is about time. I got a bit distracted. Perhaps I'll start a thread this week sometime :)
Oh yeah that's a good point, it'll be a mix of street and track, mainly street though.

Thanks for the tip, will check QFM.

    build thread is a must,
the QFM HP-X is a good pad for street driving and a sprint day, all depends of how fast u plan on slowing down from.........
(this is the bit where u tell me what engine package u plan on running) ;)

    Cheers!

The car is Whooligan's old Zetec mk2. The motor is virtually standard (for the time being) and the car will go on the road like that initially. Eventually I'll do something silly with the motor, either build a high revving quad t/b set up or a boosted motor (will most likely boost it, much easier), so I'm taking the liberty of getting the rest of the running gear up to scratch before registering it!

Sneak peak. The plenum sort of lends itself to a turbo really...

I am using the QFM A1Rm's and they are great.

I got them through Brake Direct - brakesdirect.com.au

    Cheers,

Arrrr.....I miss that car so much.
Good to see that you binned that booster (that I never got around to fixing) Not that I used the brakes much at Sandown before I blew the head gasket!!!!
Looking forward to see it progress. Looks like you've already done more than I did in two years.

Thanks Glenn, yes it's a solid little car! Not at all disppointed by it.

    Thanks for the tips everyone.
