Restoring brake lines

Hi all,

Whats the recommended approach for restoring or replacing brake lines on a Mk2 RS2000? I'm doing a full restoration so I'd like to get the brake lines (metal ones) looking new again. Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers, Adil

Assuming they are in good condition mechanicly, remove them and give them a good sand with roughish wet and dry till clean.
I bought a tin of wattyl killrust enamel in the pewter color from supercheap and gave them one coat and years later they still look new.
Its good to make sure the spring clips have no overspray also, its the little details that really count.

I've wondered about this topic too, and had never considered painting them, but hearing that it holds up well is good to know.
