Missing a cylinder.

Hi all.
I am missing no3 cylinder.
When i was tuning the other day i could wind down the mixture on 3 (2x40mm dcoe's) with no effect.
So i pulled the plug lead - no effect.
Pulled others with expected result.
Lead is good - tested.
Plug is good - tested.
spark is good - tested
compression is good - tested.

any ideas?
thanks.

That just about only leaves fuel to be tested.

Well thats kinda what i thought. just hought i'd see if there was anything else i should check.
So that's likely to be blocked idle i suppose.
I did check the idle jet but i guess i have to blow out the mixture circuit.

is it missing at revs or just at idle? it is common for big carbs to give you a miss at idle in only one cylinder, but it will work at revs.

well i am thinking it's ok at revs since it drives ok.
    haven't driven it for 14, 15 years so ...
kinda hard to tune though like that.

Did you put the piston in on that cylinder?
