Help. Alternator identification?

Google is my friend. Looks to be a Lucas 15AC, but the rear of the housing is missing the lucas branding

    This is the one off my 1300 xflow. The casting looks exactly the same but is missing some of the text.
    Also, what is that suppressor thing on the back for? I don't think my car has that, could that be why the radio doesn't work?

    Thanks. The capacitor is for noise supression.  0.47uF

    Haydn,
    Under the capacitor should be a number, If it is AC15 = 34amp, AC17 = 38amp, AC18 = 43amp.

    I did check Peter. It has nothing there. I won't be using it anyway, I'm pretty sure it's cactus
