4 link v's leaf spring

 how does a 4 link setup compare against a leaf setup for rally use?
 
 

mk2 2dr club car. pinto, stage 1 valves, rl31 cam, gsxr 600 tb running  MS2 extra. :-)))

    The leaf springs stay, you just add the 4 links (and a panhard rod) for better/stronger location of the diff.
    You can replace the leaf springs with coil-overs - is this what you mean?

    More rear grip is what i'm looking at after chasing a 20v corolla and a 2l vtec civic times all year. Not sure I can get much more out of the leaves. Frustratingly we have to short shift the old girl into 3rd to tame the arse down and get some drive. alternatively let her have her head and you drift from corner to corner, not that there is anything sad about doing that, just not quick. 
    Researching the idea of a  4 link from RD or burtons with a  panhard and coilovers. Coil rate & length, can i convert existing billies to coil over are unknowns and to what gain.  Seeking feedback from the wise how a similar 4 link conversion compared.
